Enrichment - Life Beyond the Curriculum
At High Wych CE Primary School, we believe that a truly great education reaches far beyond the statutory curriculum. Our enrichment offer is designed to broaden horizons, nurture individual talents, and create memorable experiences that help every child flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. Through a rich variety of opportunities—including outdoor learning, gardening and environmental projects, creative and performing arts, sporting competitions, educational visits, themed curriculum days, and meaningful links with our church and wider community—children are encouraged to explore new interests and develop a deep sense of curiosity about the world.
These experiences strengthen our Christian vision and values in action, helping pupils grow in confidence, resilience, trust and show empathy and service to others. Whether they are leading collective worship, tending to our school grounds, representing High Wych in sports, or discovering new skills through clubs and workshops, our children learn that their contributions matter. Enrichment at High Wych is not an add‑on; it is a vital part of who we are, shaping well‑rounded young people who are ready for the next stage of their education and for life in an ever‑changing world.
